Sri Humananda
Advaita Vedanta Tantra Yogi
From the Yoga philosophy, a human birth is very difficult to attain to, and is the result of much karmic development in the past. It is seen as a great blessing indeed, and as such it should not be wasted in frivolous pursuits and mismanagement. Having obtained, or rather attained to a human birth opens the possibility for spiritual development and Self-Inquiry.
A good life is one where one ultimately realizes the nature of the Self in Oneness – when the consciousness of the individualized soul is merged with the cosmic consciousness in Oneness.
The body itself is as magnificent a creation as can be. Its intricacies and detail are totally astounding. If we pay attention to the body, the whole of it is way beyond what the average person can understand. All we can really do when examining the body is become deeply awed and be humbled with respect.
Other than the body, you also have your mind - that great gatherer and synchronizer of data in your world – and the magnificence of sense-making that your mind seems so adroitly to just do without much effort at all.
So there are two of your very noticeable tools – your body and your mind.
From a deeper spiritual perspective though, you also have some other very valuable tools, though some are overlooked because of the mind’s preoccupations.
You have the Ear of the ear to attune to that Sound which is Inside.
You have the Third Eye to cognize the Light that is Inside.
You have the freedom of your Will.
You have the various energies of the Chakras to tune into, energize, equilibrate, and utilize.
You have the Intellect to distinguish what Truth is, and thus Know Truth, without doubt.
You have the Divine Urge of the Individual Soul constantly reaching towards its Source.
And, on becoming a Seeker of Self - your own Self - you have the Blessing of the Divine
